14 Turn, 1.8 Mile Waterfront Track
The 16th annual Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg is a race event held during Florida’s spring break season each March. As the IndyCar Series’ season-opening race for the ninth consecutive year, St. Pete is a destination city hosting this annual motorsports tradition and offering a festival atmosphere with its downtown location. The temporary circuit is a 1.8-mile, 14-turn configuration using the streets circling Pioneer Park, the Duke Energy Center for the Arts, The Dali Museum and extending onto the runways at Albert Whitted Airport, which overlooks the waterfront of Tampa Bay and picturesque St. Petersburg Harbor and Marina.
Saturday March 7th – Sunday March 8th Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park, Tampa FL
The 2020 festival features musical acts from a wide variety of genres on several stages and cuisine from the region’s top restaurants. Over 40+ bands across 5 stages, along the Tampa waterfront! Proceeds benefiting youth music education. As part of its mission to support and promote music and education, the organization is involved throughout the year in several initiatives including providing scholarships and instruments to music students. The Gasparilla Music Foundation was founded in 2011 with financial support from several Tampa Bay area based businesses and the organization’s founding members, The Ring of Fire.
Saturday March 7th, 7pm to 10pm The Coliseum | Downtown St Pete
The LGBTQ+ gathering that will keep your taste buds happy. Join us at the historical St. Pete Coliseum for a tasting like no other; Taste of Pride gathers the best Tampa Bay restaurants, bars, and breweries under one roof to give you a chance to feast like a Queen.
Guests will be able to enjoy sizable tastings from over 10 establishments that are taking the Tampa Bay gastronomy to a whole another level while supporting the LGBTQ+ community. Also, guests will have the chance to vote for their favorite tasting and the winner will receive a $1,000 donation to an organization of their choice as part of the St Pete Pride Community Grants Program. Do not miss the chance to feast like Queen, enjoy some live art by local artists, and dance the night away with live music.
Friday March 20th Demens Landing Park | Downtown St Pete
Join us the evening of Friday, March 20, 2020, in St. Petersburg At Demens Landing Park in the amazing downtown St. Petersburg at Bayshore Drive and 2nd Avenue S. St. Petersburg, Florida 33701.
For almost a decade this has been St. Petersburg's signature event to showcase Law Enforcement and Fire Rescue in a 5K, 10K, or 1 mile distance run celebration on Friday evening. You'll want to enjoy a great night in St. Petersburg's downtown district after the race but the celebration gets started HERE!
Saturday, March 14th, 11am to 6pm Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park, Tampa FL
The Irish-themed party is centered around the Hillsborough River, which will be transformed into a bright shade of green for the occasion, in honor of St Patrick’s Day! The river provides a perfect backdrop to the celebration that includes live entertainment, games, kids activities, food trucks, and of course, beer!
March 15th – March 22nd Innisbrook, A Salamandar Golf & Spa Resort Palm Harbor FL
The PGA TOUR® returns to Tampa Bay with four championship rounds of golf and activities, including: • Chris Young, multi-platinum country music star, headlines the tournament’s concert, Valspar® LIVE 6, joined by special guests Big & Rich, after play at approximately 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 21. • Another Round: Happy Hour Friday is a new premium event featuring food trucks and craft beer sampling for purchase, music and celebrity visits. • Plus, many other family-friendly events and activities are available to enjoy, such as a 16’ high rock climbing wall, putting holes, and various arts and crafts. The week-long schedule of events kicks-off with the Veterans Alternative Copperhead 5K Run/Walk on Sunday, March 15, the MetLife Championship Pro-Am on Wednesday, March 18 and the official tournament begins on Thursday, March 19 and continues through Sunday, March 22. Paul Casey is the back-to-back 2018 and 2019 champion and is returning to defend his title.
